TAILORED DESIGN FOR CATFISH ANGLERS

The Whisker Whip is a medium action rod designed to detect and respond to the lightest bite,yet has the backbone to handle just about anything you can hook in to: channel catfish, blue cats, flat heads -- you name it!

EXCELLENT ROD CONSTRUCTION

Tangling with Catfish is committed to providing high quality, affordable rods to our anglers. We don’t believe in taking shortcuts in the construction or in the materials we use.

E-GLASS BLANK

Each of our TWC Whisker Whip 7’6” rods are made from strong, E-Glass blank. E-Glass is a lightweight fiberglass material that is unbelievably durable and provides a great bend and flex for anglers during a fight.

CROSS-CUT EVA FOAM HANDLE

The handle and foregrip on the TWC Whisker Whip Series encourage an excellent grip because they are both made from extremely durable, cross-cut EVA foam. These dense, hearty foam grips are remarkably comfortable and ensure a great grip against any fish. Furthermore, the 6” length of the foregrip of the Extreme Rod provides plenty of hand room for leverage against catfish and other giant channel cats.

RUBBER BUTT

The end of the TWC Whisker Whip features a rubber butt that allows for the best grab on the rod so it doesn’t slip when you are fighting a fish.

GRADE-A CORK HANDLE 

The handle and foregrip of the rod also encourage a better grip because they are both made from durable, grade “A” cork. This tends to be much stronger and last much longer than traditional grade “C” cork handles. Furthermore, the 6” length of the foregrip of the Whisker Whip provides plenty of hand room for leverage during a fight.

MACHINED ALUMINUM REEL SEAT

Anglers will also love the reel seats on our Whisker Whip series. The reel seat is made of heavy duty machined aluminum and is ribbed on the inside for a stronger bind. It has two aluminum locking nuts with a rubber washer in between to ensure the tightness of the reel.

STAINLESS STEEL GUIDES & HOOK KEEPER

The Whisker Whip comes with a stainless steel hook keeper that prevents wear and tear on the guides. The TWC Whisker Whip features 8 double footed, solder-reinforced guides, as well as a tip, that are made of stainless steel. Each guide is wrapped with a thick red wrap and a sports a double epoxy coating for more durability.

VISIBILITY

Our TWC Whisker Whips can be seen more easily at night, allowing you to continue your fight even after dusk fades.
